Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We spent the holiday with Alivia's great grand parents, grand parents, and her uncle and aunt. Alivia received some beautiful gifts including her very own table and chair set. However, her favorite part about opening her gifts was tasting the wrapping paper. We hope that all of our friends and family that were not with us enjoyed the holiday as well.

Halloween 2010

Alivia was a butterfly for Halloween this year. She enjoyed passing out candy to the neighbors' children and chewing through the paper of her first Tootsie Roll lolly pop.

Alivia's 1st Birthday

Alivia celebrated her first birthday on September 17th with her family and friends. Alivia enjoyed playing with her cousin and friends and her first taste of cake.

Steelers Best Looking Cheerleaders

A few pictures from the Steelers second game of the year. Alivia was born in Philly and her cousin, Soliana, in Maryland but neither of the girls could tell you who the Eagles or the Redskins are. Go Pittsburgh!

Alivia's trip to Pittsburgh

Alivia had a nice time visiting her grandma and grandpap in Pittsburgh. We spent the week in the country in the swimming pool and visiting family. Alivia loves the water and was so content in her raft that her grandma and grandpap got her. Alivia's cousins, Isaiah and Corey, enjoyed spending time with her and have vowed to watch out for their little cousin as she grows into a young lady.

Alivia's Day in the Park

Today was a beautiful day in Philadelphia. It was 85 degrees and the sun was shining for most of the day. We bought some sandwiches and headed to a local park to spend some time outside. Alivia had a nice time playing with her toys as we laid on the blanket and Bailey had fun rolling around in the grass. Alivia is now 7 1/2 months old and weighs nearly 18 lbs. We are looking forward to spending a lot of time outside this summer so that Alivia can begin to explore the world.

Alivia's 1st Easter

Alivia celebrated her first Easter this year. We had an egg hunt in the morning and our neighbors, the Smith's, gave Alivia a beautiful Easter basket.

Fairy Princess

It has been some time since our last post. Alivia is doing great. She turned six months old in March and weighs 16 lbs. The doctor said that she is in good percentiles for her growth measurements. The latest news with our baby girl is that she started day care today. It was certainly tough, especially for Aliese, but the day care workers all adore Alivia. There are three girls in her class and one little boy. As a protective father I will have to tell the day care workers to keep that little boy away from our blue eyed baby.

Our Princess

Our little princess turned five months old on February 17th. Alivia now weighs 14 lbs. 4 oz. and is 24 inches long. Her little personality continues to emerge. She loves to laugh in the morning and let's you know when she is unhappy by sticking out her bottom lip. As you can see in the picture, Alivia's eyes are still blue. Both Aliese and I have brown eyes so we asked her doctor how her eye color could possibly be different from ours. We were told that the only way a baby's eye color gene can be different from its parents is if they inherent the eye color gene from grandparents on both sides. Connie and Darlene both have blue eyes so Alivia can thank her grandma's! If they stay blue we will definitely have to keep the boys away.

Alivia's 1st Valentine's Day

Alivia celebrated her first Valentine's day this year. She bought Aliese some nice gifts and made her a card.
